“You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.”
Pema Chödrön
The daisy reminds us just how resilient we are. Each day is a new beginning, an opportunity to share your magic with the world, to feel fulfilled in relationships. Navigating this path of conscious living can feel overwhelming when done alone. I'm here to show you how things can be different. We'll explore your unique process of remembering your wholeness, YOUR LIGHT, through an integration of mind, body, spirit, heart, and soul.
A WARM WELCOME

YOUR BODY ISN'T JUST A WONDERLAND
The human body is an amazingly complex system that is both awe-inspiring and incredibly frustrating. Especially when you're dealing with chronic pain and illness.

In our work together, we'll explore the relationships and patterns that make up you. So instead of just chasing physical pain and emotional discomfort, you come to understand and fully explore your unique nonlinear healing process. Because really and truly, it's different for everyone.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We'll introduce new info to your body with various therapeutic techniques and in-between sessions you'll observe the shifts as you integrate the work. This is where your mindfulness practice takes root.
Some weeks will feel like progress. Other weeks you'll feel the same. On occasion, you could feel worse. It's often a dance of spirals: in and out, up and down, back and forth. And that's totally normal. I'm here to guide you through it all.

CONNECTION AS A CORNERSTONE
I spotlight the nervous system because it's this foundation of safety and connection that makes the journey of WHOLE BODY INTEGRATION a heck of a lot easier.
Your nervous system is incredibly wise and loyal. It's constantly at work helping you self-regulate and co-regulate. It's functioning 24/7 to protect you.

Sometimes your alarm switch stays "on" for too long or "off" for longer than it needs to be, making it challenging to maintain the vital connections to self and others, the relationships we as humans need to feel happy and fulfilled.
This is where bodywork and nervous system regulation tools can be life-changing.

WHAT RESILIENCE LOOKS LIKE
For many of you who are highly sensitive, experience constant worry, or just check out, this restored adaptability makes life so much more fun and enjoyable!

When you're able to intentionally tap into states of calm (i.e., being present and aware), you grow your capacity for holding stress without getting overwhelmed and anxious.
This allows you to choose to communicate safety in relationships (i.e., boundaries) even when sh*t hits the fan. I know, avoidance seems easier, but running away gets exhausting and is so unfulfilling. Overreacting gets old over time too. Let's explore how things can be different.
JENNY IN A NUTSHELL: PRACTICAL + INTUITIVE
WHY WORK WITH ME
Chronic pain and discomfort doesn't have to be your norm. Let me help you find relief. I customize each 60 minute session to meet your unique needs by assessing holistically and treating at a gentle pace to avoid overwhelming your nervous system. For some, this might feel too slow, in which case, I'm not the practitioner for you. My specialty is working with highly sensitive individuals. Sessions are $140 for the hour which includes a full consultation and mindful bodywork at a beautiful healing studio in Falls Church, VA.

QUALITY BODYWORK SKILLS
My clinical skill set features highly effective manual therapy techniques such as: CranioSacral Therapy with Upledger Institute, Myofascial Release with John F. Barnes, PT, and Neuromuscular Therapy with Precision Neuromuscular Therapy. Prior to landing in clinical bodywork, I dabbled in reflexology, pregnancy massage, positional release, and trained in Thai massage to the advanced level. I discovered that deep pressure is not required for healing.

MIND BODY SPIRIT IS MY JAM
I also have a full toolbox of somatic, energetic, and mindfulness resources to share from teachers like Cyndi Dale, Maryam Hasnaa, Frans Stiene, Linda Thai, The Embody Lab, and Tara Brach. I'm a Level III Usui Reiki Ryoho practitioner and love exploring the metaphysical influences of Human Design, neural manifestation, astrology, tarot, channeling, and crystals. We'll incorporate these tools in sessions as needed according to what feels aligned for you.

IN THE FIELD
Prior to my bodywork career, I was an art therapy intern, daycare teacher, and student nurse. Then in 2007, I kicked off my massage path working in day spa settings. I continued to develop my skill sets at therapeutic massage centers and clinical practices such as Teal Center, Simply Therapeutic (my first clinical practice), Capital Integrative Health, chiropractic offices, and Alexandria Myotherapy where you can still book a session with me.

MY WHY
This work is my life's purpose and true calling. I know firsthand what it's like to be in dark places. I get how painful it feels when life is too much. Keep going. Your shifts are here. Let the work transform you as you uncover more and more layers of bitter (and sweet) along the way. They are one in the same.

REGULATION TOOLS I ADORE
My favorite self-care practices include energy healing, meditation, and mindfulness. City walking is a fave stress reliever. Food and books are my lifesavers. If we're being real here, laughing at SNL skits on YouTube is a such a gift. We'll explore what works for you! This Somatic Coaching piece is the added benefit of working with me.
WHAT SUSTAINS ME
I also love road trips, playing in nature, exploring dance, writing, TAKING CLASSES, making art, supporting fellow entrepreneurs and creatives, and living in Arlington, VA with my partner, Aaron. Being Mom to Sydney is my greatest joy (and most rewarding challenge).
WHAT'S NEXT FOR US?
I invite you to tune into yourself and listen to the quiet voice in the background. What's it saying? Often the loudest nudges are ones of fear and anxiety. Intuition can be a whisper at times. Feel free to get in touch to ask questions (keep scrolling), sit on things for a bit, read my blog, or jump right in and book an appointment to see what it's like to work with me. I'm so glad you're here! Welcome.
